چکیده
The type of soil known as expansive is capable changing its volume through swelling and contracting. These types soils are mostly composed montmorillonite, a mineral with the capacity to absorb water, which causes heave by increasing volume. Due their contract or expand in response seasonal fluctuations water content, these might prove be significant risk engineering structures. Many studies have dealt investigated behavior soils, well improvement. In this study, three percentages lime, cement, silica fume (5, 7, 9%) used stabilize soil, work divided into two sections: first using consolidation test record free swell pressure for untreated treated soils; second part, grouting technique utilized process that can applied field maintain improvement bearing capacity. It concluded stabilized different exhibits decrease both approximately 65% 76%, respectively, compared soil. grouted increases footings resting on 64% 82% 5% 9% fume,

Low Temperature Synthesis of Belite Cement Based on Silica Fume and Lime
This paper describes the low temperature synthesis of belite (β-C2S) from silica fume. Mixtures of lime, BaCl2, and silica fume with the ratio of (Ca + Ba)/Si = 2 were hydrothermally treated in stainless steel capsule at 110-150°C for 2-5 hours, calcined at 600-700°C for 3 hours, and analyzed by FTIR, XRD, TGA/DTA, and SEM techniques. Dicalcium silicate hydrate (hillebrandite) was prepared by h...

Utilization of Soil Stabilization with Cement and Copper Slag as Subgrade Materials in Road Embankment Construction
In this study, unconfined compression tests have been conducted to investigate the impacts of copper slag on mechanical characteristics for stabilized cement and un-stabilized soil. Dozens of specimens were prepared at four percentages of cement (i.e. 0%, 2%, 4% and 6%) and five percentages of copper slag (i.e. 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) by weight of dry soil. The samples compacted into a cylind...
متن کاملSolidification/Stabilization of Lead Contaminated Soil Using Magnesia Phosphate cement and Ordinary Portland cement
Background and objectives: Solidification/stabilization is an effective technique for reducing the leachability of contaminants in soils. Magnesia phosphate cement and ordinary Portland cement can be used to remediate soils contaminated. In this study, the performance of the solidified/stabilized soil was compared for mixtures composed of magnesia phosphate and ordinary Portland cement. Materia...
